- This investment enables us to deliver smart venue connectivity for more immersive digital experiences as a sport, entertainment and lifestyle destination.
SINGAPORE, 6 November 2025 – Kallang Alive Sport Management (KASM) has embarked on a precinct-wide roll-out of a high-density Wi-Fi 7 network. This introduction of Wi-Fi 7 at the Singapore Sports Hub, integrated sports, entertainment, and lifestyle hub in Kallang, Singapore, will provide patrons with robust, high-performance wireless internet access across the precinct. Additionally, greater real-time collaborations, hyper-personalised digital services, and richer, more immersive experiences will be possible with the connectivity that this cutting-edge network enhancement brings.
The enhancement will address the growing demand for high-density, low-latency wireless connectivity, especially during large-scale events. To be able to meet this demand is crucial as Singapore continues to attract international sport, entertainment, and lifestyle events and welcomes fans from around the world to the Singapore Sports Hub.
“This new Wi-Fi network is an important infrastructure investment that will lay a strong foundation for our digital transformation at the Singapore Sports Hub. With this infrastructure, we are enabling unparalleled connectivity to drive cutting-edge, immersive, and personalised digital experiences for all,” said Quek Swee Kuan, Chief Executive Officer, KASM.
The implementation of this high-speed, next generation public Wi-Fi is led by M1 as the network system integrator with Cisco as the technology solution provider.
As the connectivity enabler and implementation lead, M1 will lead the end-to-end deployment of Singapore Sports Hub’s new Wi-Fi 7 network. This deployment ensures an agile, resilient, and future-ready infrastructure, from design and integration through field deployment, optimisation and on-going managed service, to realise a high-performing Wi-Fi 7 network. They will deliver lightning-fast, low-latency connectivity via Wi-Fi 7 access points and secure the network with next-generation firewalls for consistent protection. In parallel, M1 and KASM will jointly explore AI analytics to enhance operational efficiency and patron experiences.
Manjot Singh Mann, Chief Executive Officer, M1, said, “We’ve achieved many firsts as Singapore’s first digital network operator, and this partnership represents another important milestone for both M1 and Singapore. As the connectivity and implementation partner, we are working closely with KASM and Cisco to design and deliver a precinct-wide Wi-Fi 7 network that is built for high-density crowds attending live events. Beyond deployment, M1’s role as a consultative systems integrator will ensure a strong and scalable foundation of next-generation Wi-Fi 7 technologies. This collaboration marks a pivotal step in transforming the Singapore Sports Hub into a digitally empowered venue, and we’re proud to play a leading role in shaping its future-ready connectivity.”
KASM will deploy emerging technologies to enhance visitor and fan experiences with Cisco’s modular architecture and scalable Wi-Fi 7 solution, Cisco Wireless CW9179F. This is the industry’s first enterprise-grade, Wi-Fi 7 certified high-density access point, designed specifically for large public venues. Every connection is secured by AI-native device segmentation, threat prevention, and advanced security, ensuring fans can use Wi-Fi securely.
The Cisco Wi-Fi 7 access points leverage intelligence and automation across the network to make the promise of AgenticOps a reality, a new paradigm for modern IT operations. Coupled with advanced features from Cisco AI Assistant and Cisco Artificial Intelligence Radio Resource Management (AI-RRM) for real-time radio frequency (RF) optimisation, networking teams can leverage conversational AI and real-time intelligence to analyse network data and proactively address performance issues before users are impacted. This ensures a consistent and exceptional digital experience for all.
Furthermore, the access points can be seamlessly integrated with Cisco Spaces, enabling Cisco and KASM to explore the provision of insights into space utilisation, visitor behaviour metrics, crowd flow, and operational patterns to improve crowd management, support efficient staffing and optimize facility management.
Tay Bee Kheng, President, Cisco ASEAN, said, “We believe the future of live events will be defined by seamless, AI-powered, secure connectivity. With Cisco’s Wi-Fi 7 technology, we are setting a new benchmark for secure, high-performance networks that power immersive fan experiences and help scale operations – even in the most demanding environments. As the technology partner for KASM, we are proud to support the Singapore Sports Hub’s digital transformation and play a pivotal role in establishing Singapore as a global leader in redefining live events.”
The implementation of Wi-Fi 7 across all venues and precinct spaces at the Sports Hub will be phased and is expected to be completed by the first half of 2026.
