The regional tournament returns to The Kallang ahead of the Singapore Tennis Open, creating a pathway from Southeast Asia to the global stage

Singapore, 30 July 2026 – The Kallang will once again take centre stage in Southeast Asian tennis as the Singapore Tennis Invitational Cup (STIC) 2026 returns from 23-26 September. Held alongside the Singapore Tennis Open (STO) 2026, Southeast Asia’s only WTA500 tournament, STIC brings together the region’s top national players in a unique showcase of emerging talent, regional rivalry and sporting excellence.
Organised by the Singapore Tennis Association in partnership with The Kallang Group, the tournament will feature national players from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Cambodia competing across five events - Ladies’ Singles and Doubles, Men’s Singles and Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
More than a competition, STIC serves as a regional platform for players to gain valuable exposure, test themselves against neighbouring nations and build experience in an international tournament environment. Staged at the Kallang Tennis Hub alongside STO, the tournament reinforces Singapore’s role as a gateway connecting Southeast Asian talent with the global tennis ecosystem.
From Southeast Asia to the Global Stage
Since its 2025 debut, STIC has provided a platform for athletes to compete beyond their domestic circuits while strengthening the region’s growing tennis landscape. Players will face off in a round-robin format, with defending champions Singapore looking to retain their Cup.

Regional Tennis Icons Champion the Next Generation
Reflecting the tournament’s regional ambition, STO has appointed three distinguished tennis names as its Ambassadors: Indonesia's Yayuk Basuki, Thailand's Tamarine Tanasugarn and Chinese Taipei’s Latisha Chan, who previously competed in the WTA Finals in Singapore.
Collectively, the trio have achieved career-high rankings of world No. 1 in doubles and world No. 19 in singles, and have represented Asia on some of tennis' biggest stages. As Ambassadors, they will champion the tournament's vision of creating stronger pathways for aspiring players, inspiring fans and fostering deeper connections across the tennis community.
Yayuk Basuki said, "Regional competitions played a huge role in preparing me for bigger stages around the world. What makes Southeast Asia special is the strong bond we share despite being competitors. I am excited to return to Singapore to be a part of the Singapore Tennis Open and Singapore Tennis Invitational Cup and cheer on young players as they challenge themselves, learn from one another and dream bigger. I hope more champions from our region will emerge and show the world what Southeast Asian tennis is capable of."
Tamarine Tanasugarn said, “Every great sporting journey starts with opportunities and tournaments like the Singapore Tennis Open and Singapore Tennis Invitational Cup. Entry to STIC 2026 is free, on a first-come, first-served basis. Spectators do not require tickets to the STO to attend STIC matches. Simply walk in and enjoy the action!
STIC is held alongside Singapore Tennis Open (STO) 2026 – Southeast Asia’s only WTA 500 tournament which will take place at the OCBC Arena.
