Southeast Asia’s only WTA 500 tournament takes centre stage at The Kallang this September, bringing top-ten ranked players, free fan experiences, live screenings and activities that celebrate the sport both on and off the court
SINGAPORE, 16 September 2026 – The Singapore Tennis Open presented by BNP Paribas, Southeast Asia's only WTA 500 tournament, will feature a strong player field including World No. 5 Mirra Andreeva, Amanda Anisimova, regional favourites Alexandra Eala and Janice Tjen, as well as current World No. 31 Leylah Fernandez, who has accepted a wildcard into the singles main draw. The tournament will take place at The Kallang from 19 to 27 September. Beyond the on-court action, fans can enjoy a precinct-wide tennis festival featuring free qualifying-round matches, player appearances, live screenings and interactive activities across the precinct, whether they hold a ticket or not.

Free access to world-class tennis
The Singapore Tennis Open begins with free admission to the tournament's qualifying rounds on 19 and 20 September at the OCBC Arena. Available on a first-come, first-served basis, fans will have the opportunity to watch rising international stars compete for a place in the main draw.
The qualifying competition will also feature Team Singapore's Eva Marie Desvignes, who has been awarded a qualifying wildcard by tournament organiser The Kallang Group, giving the young Singaporean a valuable opportunity to compete against international opposition on home ground.
Catch every match at Break Point Garden
From 21 to 27 September, fans without tickets can enjoy the tournament atmosphere through selected free live match screenings at Break Point Garden.
Designed as a social viewing destination, Break Point Garden brings together the communal energy and shared excitement often seen among fans gathering in "Cat 100" areas during major concerts. The space will allow friends and families to come together, follow the tournament through selected live match screenings and soak up the tournament atmosphere. Between matches, fans can enjoy DJ sets, crowd-favourite food and beverage offerings, and interactive activities including the Erdinger Stein Slide, where participants can win exclusive merchandise.
Adding to the experience is the debut of the Kallang Roar, a signature cocktail inspired by the electric energy of Singapore's biggest sporting and entertainment moments. Crafted with vodka, passionfruit and coconut, the Kallang Roar was developed exclusively for The Kallang and is intended to become a recurring feature across selected events at the precinct. Visitors can also enjoy offerings from food trucks operated by Nosh. Singapore, featuring crowd favourites like the Messy Patty burger and Fish & Chips.

Exclusive Experiences for The Kallang App Users
Users of The Kallang App who have registered for The Kallang Kaki loyalty programme can unlock exclusive Singapore Tennis Open experiences throughout the tournament, including the chance to win food and beverage vouchers by taking on the Reaction Challenge at the Activation Truck. The dedicated tournament microsite within The Kallang App provides a seamless digital experience, offering access to live scores, match information and the latest tournament updates.
Tennis fun for everyone
At Kallang Wave Mall, visitors can step into a giant-sized tennis playground featuring oversized rackets, inflatable tennis balls and a custom-built court open to all for play.
Catch Emerging Talent in Action
Adding to the tennis action, the Singapore Tennis Invitational Cup (STIC) will return to the Kallang Tennis Hub, featuring local and regional players. The tournament complements the Singapore Tennis Open, giving fans the chance to witness rising stars while supporting the growth of tennis in Singapore and the region.
Also taking place at Kallang Tennis Hub is the World Tennis Asia 12 & Under Team Competition Finals, from 15 to 19 September, bringing together 26 boys' and girls' teams from across Asia, including India, China, Korea, Kazakhstan, Thailand and Indonesia. Team Singapore will compete in both the boys' and girls' events, allowing fans to support the nation's young players while experiencing international junior tennis at The Kallang. Admission is free for all spectators.
