SUNWOLVES AND SINGAPORE RUGBY UNION HOLD SECOND JOINT TRAINING SESSION

Singapore, 25 March 2016 – 25 Singapore rugby players headed to the Yio Chu Kang Stadium pitch for a joint training session with players from the HITO-Communications Sunwolves on Good Friday, 25 March ahead of the Sunwolves’ second match against the Vodacom Bulls.

“Most of us will be playing in tomorrow’s curtain raiser, so this session is a great opportunity to prepare ourselves. We are passionate about rugby, and we’re grateful for this opportunity to be coached by some of the top coaches in the world” said Gasper Tan, Captain of the Singapore President’s XVs.

Sunwolves Head Coach Mark Hammett, “This is the second clinic we’re conducting for the younger players here in Singapore and they learn really fast. It’s very encouraging for us too as we see the players applying what we taught them at the previous session, and making changes to their game.”

One of the latest additions to Super Rugby, the HITO-Communications Sunwolves, are excited to return to their adopted home venue, the Singapore Sports Hub tomorrow, where they will face three time Super Rugby champions, the South Africa’s Vodacom Blue Bulls.

The match is the second of three to be held in Singapore this season as part of a deal that will see the Sunwolves play a minimum of three matches at the Singapore Sports Hub each year till 2020. The HITO-communications Sunwolves played against the Toyota CHEETAHS on 12 March, and will return on 14 May to face the high-flying DHL STORMERS.

About the upcoming match:

The HITO-Communications Sunwolves and Vodacom Bulls will go head to head tomorrow at 6.50pm. The curtain raiser game between the President’s XV vs World First Premiership Select will begin at 5pm. Tickets are available at www.sportshub.com.sg.
