We’re excited to share that Kallang Wave Mall will be refreshed to bring you more vibrant, enjoyable retail and lifestyle experiences. There will be new community spaces, refreshed façades, and an expanded mix of lifestyle, dining, and entertainment offerings including one of Southeast Asia’s tallest indoor climb wall and a new sheltered rooftop padel ecosystem! The enhancement works will commence from May 2026 and are expected to be completed by 2028.
The Singapore Tennis Open has made its triumphant statement as Southeast Asia’s sole WTA 500 fixture. Yet, walking the grounds across an eight-hour festival day reveals that this tournament’s grandest triumph reaches well beyond ranking points or winner's cheques.
By weaving world-class elite athletics together with inclusive community activations, free public fan villages, and masterclasses from living legends, the Singapore Tennis Open presented by BNP Paribas has established The Kallang as a premier sporting destination on the world map — while igniting a long-term passion for tennis across an entire region.
Each game brings a distinctly different flavour to The Kallang, pairing different football cultures, styles, and stories.
1. Brazil Vs Japan: Artistry Meets Precision
Matches between Brazil and Japan are always a treat. Brazil brings the effortless flair, rhythm, and creativity that made them the world’s most celebrated football nation. Japan, on the other hand, plays with incredible tempo, sharp tactical precision, and the fearless teamwork that saw them topple giants like Spain and Germany on the global stage.
There is also a fun history between the two sides right here at The Kallang. Back in 2014, a packed stadium saw a young Neymar put on a memorable show against the Samurai Blue. Today, Japan is playing some of the most dynamic football in the world, making this meeting between South American flair and Asian brilliance a fascinating spectacle from start to finish.
2. Singapore Vs Brazil: A Dream Matchup for Local Fans
It isn't every day you get to see the famous yellow and green of Brazil line up against our own Lions. For local football enthusiasts, having players who grew up playing on neighbourhood pitches share the same grass with some of the biggest names in the global game is a genuine bucket-list moment.
For the Lions, it is an incredible opportunity to test themselves against the best. For everyone in the stands, it’s a chance to get behind the home team, celebrate local sport, and enjoy the pure buzz of seeing world-class talent up close.
3. Japan Vs Paraguay: Two Different Worlds on One Pitch
This matchup gives fans a fantastic look at two distinct regional styles. Paraguay has long been admired for their rugged discipline, smart positioning, and ability to stay composed under pressure against attack-minded teams.
Testing that sturdy setup against Japan’s quick-passing, high-energy transition game will make for a compelling 90 minutes. It’s a contest of patience versus speed, offering a fresh, unpredictable clash you rarely get to see outside of a FIFA World Cup tournament.
4. Singapore Vs Paraguay: A Great Night Out at The Kallang
South American teams don't often travel to Southeast Asia, making Paraguay’s visit a rare occasion for sports fans in the region.
For the Lions, it promises to be a great, competitive test against a side known for its physical strength and tactical know-how. More than that, it’s a wonderful evening out for Singaporeans — a lively, family-friendly atmosphere where you can wear your red, rally around our boys, and soak in the best of international football together.
In an everyday routine filled with short video clips, social media updates, and group chats, nothing quite compares to the feeling of being there in person.
It’s the shared gasp when a shot skims the crossbar, the collective cheer when the ball hits the back of the net, and the fun of chatting with the fans sitting next to you — whether they are lifelong Lions supporters or members of the vibrant Brazilian and Japanese communities here in Singapore.
You don’t have to be a tactical expert to enjoy an evening like this. All you need is a ticket, some friends or family, and an appetite for a memorable night out.
Come be part of the crowd and make some memories under the Kallang lights this November.
The Mizuho Blue Challenge – The Kallang Football Series Singapore takes place from 13 to 17 November 2026 at the National Stadium.
