For 24-year-old final-year university student, Aricia Yee, the National Stadium has always been a place filled with unforgettable memories. Aricia is no stranger to The Kallang, having already attended shows by Taylor Swift, Coldplay and Maroon 5 at the National Stadium. However, she never imagined she would one day be stepping onto the very same stage as a performer.

For BTS fan Kacie Ng, buying fan merchandise as a student was a luxury. But that didn’t stop her from expressing her love for the K-pop group as she turned financial constraints into the catalyst for a creative pursuit instead. “I was a student and kind of broke, so instead of buying my own merchandise, I decided to make my own. There was a specific type of aesthetic I was looking for that others couldn’t create, so why not create my own,” the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) year two student said.

When the members of K-pop boy band EXO fan club AERIARCADE came together to organise their very first fan event in April 2019, it was meant to be just a one-off activity to celebrate their love for the group. Since then, the group has amassed over 3,000 followers on social media platform X. “The intention was just to create one cup sleeve event. We didn’t know it would grow this far.”
