SINGAPORE, 14 June 2017 – Embark on a nostalgic journey this Father’s Day weekend as the Sports Hub Community Play Day returns on 17 and 18 June 2017, 10 am to 9 pm at the OCBC Arena.
Held over two days for the very first time, Guest-of-Honour, Mr Baey Yam Keng, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth will kick-off the Sports Hub Community Play Day and participate in a mass workout at OCBC Arena Hall 1.
The Sports Hub Community Play Day is a quarterly community engagement initiative aimed at bringing families and friends together to experience sports, lifestyle and entertainment activities. First introduced in June 2016, it has successfully attracted over 50,000 participants from the previous four editions.
Themed Good Ol’ Wonderland, families will be able to relive the good old times of pure family fun at the Wonderland Amusement Park which was previously located at the present site of the Singapore Sports Hub from 1969 to 1988.
Participants can look forward to fun and exciting activities for the whole family to enjoy. Highlights of the activities include (see Appendix A for more event information):
