The Singapore Sports Hub – Home of Singapore Football – saw more than 20,000 football fans and families at its inaugural six-week Festival of Football. The festival, a forerunner of the highly anticipated International Champions Cup, comprises family-friendly activities such as live World Cup screenings, football friendlies, penalty shootout games, and meet-and-greets with local football heroes, as well as exclusive ticket promotions to the 2018 International Champions Cup in Singapore matches (schedule of matches in Annex A).

This coming Saturday (23 June), the Young Lions and players from the Home United Football Club will be at the Sports Hub Library to engage fans and inspire the younger generations with their stories on how they became professional football players. Fans can also look forward to two Singapore Premier League matches to be played at the National Stadium – the Home of the Lions – this weekend (23 and 24 June) (schedule of matches in Annex B).

Members of the public can also witness the best players in table football battle it out for the ultimate championship title in the “Table Football National Championships” Under 19 and Open categories this weekend.

Apart from football-themed activities, members of the public can also participate in exciting fitness sessions, such as the “Glow Dance” mass workout and “Sunset Yoga” at the Festival.

As part of the Singapore Sports Hub Festival of Football, the search is on for the “2018 Ultimate Football Family”. International Champions Cup ticket holders will have a chance to fly to either London, Madrid or Paris to watch Arsenal, Atlético de Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain play a home match with flights and two nights’ accommodation thrown in for two. The child of the winning family will also get the opportunity of a lifetime to escort a football star onto the pitch at the ICC matches in Singapore this July (visit http://www.sportshub.com.sg/FOF for more details).
