SINGAPORE, 19 June 2017 – The Singapore Sports Hub rounded off another successful Community Play Day as close to 21,000 participated in the two-day event over Father’s Day weekend.

The fifth edition of the Sports Hub Community Play Day delivered nostalgic memories of the Old Wonderland Amusement Park as families and friends bonded over carnival games and amusement rides from yesteryears at the OCBC Arena Park.

The nostalgic atmosphere continued at the OCBC Arena Lobby where visitors reminisced on the `good ol’ times’ at the heritage gallery which included the history of the old Wonderland Amusement Park and local historical facts of the Kallang area.

At the OCBC Arena Hall 1, both the young and young at heart enjoyed the indoor inflatables playground with rides, bouncy castles and carnival games, as well as fringe activities such as face painting and balloon sculpting while participating in the various fitness classes throughout the day. The first ever Glowing Zumba was a massive hit as participants grooved in the electrifying glow-in-the-dark atmosphere created.

This edition of the Sports Hub Community Play Day was organised in partnership with the National Heritage Board, Sport Singapore, and Focus on the Family. The next edition of the Sports Hub Community Play Day will take place on 16 September 2017 at the National Stadium, and will be centered on the theme of sports and fitness.
